Taos Ski Valley Featured on Front Page of The New York Times Sunday Travel Section

Taos Ski Valley, a client of Feed Media’s for seven years now, made front-page news in The New York Times travel section. Feed Media started handling public relations for Taos Ski Valley when it was still owned by the Blake family. We’ve had many a meeting at the Bavarian Lodge, a classic après-ski spot, as the Times article points out, and tested out the slopes ourselves with “New Mexico’s turquoise skies stretched taut above snug Hondo Canyon.” Even as Coloradoans, we feel it’s fair to say that the skiing at Taos Ski Valley is some of the best in the country.

In 2013, Louis Bacon purchased the resort from the Blakes and has been tirelessly committed to adding new life to the property, including a new chairlift to the resort’s peak, which opened last year. The resort still doesn’t have a high-speed lift, but as the article suggests, “the mountain didn’t need it.” We think the slower lift allows one a bit more time to take in the spectacular surroundings and underscores the “charm” of Taos Ski Valley. The resort does have a “vintage” feel to it, which draws so many to it year after year. Even the staff sticks around with over 125 employees working at the resort for 20 years or more.

We wholeheartedly agree with writer Christopher Solomon that it doesn’t take long to “feel the pull of this place.” There is a “Tao of Taos.” We’re pretty sure that after you read Solomon’s article, you’ll seriously think about booking your next ski trip to Taos Ski Valley.
